WHERE WE WORK
Register Her is a non-partisan 501c3 non-profit that promotes women-centered and women-led voter registration efforts across the country. A key element of our program is hiring Regional Captains and Student Interns to liaise with our community partners and drive registration efforts in their own communities.
WHY THESE STATES?
We are striving to activate hard-to-reach groups of women. Historically these groups have been overlooked or excluded and continue to be disproportionately negatively impacted by voter suppression measures. Our priority demographic for 2024 are women of color, Indigenous/Native women, LGBTQ+ community and young women (18-24).
Our six target states in 2024 are Arizona, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas. We selected these states based on a number of criteria, including the high percentages of BIPOC populations, low voter turnout and low numbers of registered voters, and the percentage of close elections.
